Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities throughout the year.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Excursions include venues such as Sydney Zoo, Longneck Lagoon, Manly Q-station and Calmsley Hill City Farm.
In Year 4 the students go to Taronga Zoo for their first overnight excursion. In Year 5 they enjoy 2 nights on Milson Island (pictured) and in Year 6 they visit our nation's capital for two nights - Canberra.
Sports carnivals and inter-school competitions
Our students enjoy three carnivals each year - our swimming carnival, athletics carnival and cross country carnival.
There are opportunities to progress from these carnivals to represent at zone, district and state level competition.
Student from Years 3-6 also have the opportunity to try out for PSSA (Primary School Sport Association) teams throughout the year. Teams compete on Fridays during school hours against other primary schools in our Hills district.
