Road safety

Parents can help their children by being role models of safe driving and pedestrian behaviour around our school. Leading by example will help your children to form safe habits around busy schools.

  • Only enter the school via pedestrian gates
  • Cross roads at marked pedestrian crossings
  • Obey road rules at all times, particularly during school zone operating hours

At school, your child will learn about road safety as part of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education. Help them learn the pedestrian safety messages by using them and sharing them whenever you are out and about.

Getting to and from school safely

As a parent or carer, it’s your responsibility to get your child to and from school safely. Student safety is our priority.

Keep our school community safe by:

  • driving and parking safely, even if it means parking further away and walking the rest of the way to school
  • being a good role model
  • never calling your child from across the road
  • using the safest place to cross the road.

KISS AND DROP ZONE
